  • Black History Month with Naperville Neighbors United

Dear Neighbor, To truly represent you, I need to know what you care about and how you would like me to work on your behalf. To that end, I would greatly appreciate your taking the time to complete our 2023 Legislative and Community Survey. Your responses on past surveys directly affected legislation and policy in Springfield. Because of your voice, we provided more funding for our schools and to those with developmental disabilities; we saved for our future and lowered fees and taxes for working families. There is always more to do, and this month’s newsletter highlights some of that work and those activities. With your help and input, I’m excited to continue working together to build a stronger community and a better Illinois. Sincerely, Janet Yang Rohr

Legislative & Community Survey Understanding your priorities helps to ensure I can represent you and our community well in Springfield. Please use the below link to take this survey, and feel free to pass it on to others in our District. The survey covers areas such as general community priorities, budget actions, and revenue surplus decisions. And because I’ve recently received numerous inquiries on plans to provide state support to the Chicago Bears, I also included a specific question on the topic. Your answers will fuel my actions in these upcoming negotiations, so thank you in advance for making sure I know your thoughts on these issues.

Committee Assignments for the 103rd General Assembly

As we begin the work of the 103rd General Assembly, I’m excited to share my committee assignments, including my Vice-Chair position on the Personnel & Pensions committee. My focus on pensions, education, health care, and small business reflects the priorities that I’ve heard from you.

Citizen Advisory Panels - Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent series of Citizen Advisory Panels. Our small groups took deep dives into areas such as health care access, creating a sustainable environment, and supporting schools, women’s rights, and senior citizens.

The ideas from these panels take on many different forms, which can include legislation, events, and partnerships with community organizations. For resources related to these topics and panels, visit the “Resources” tab of www.repyangrohr.com. Let us know if you have any suggestions for additional resources we should add.
